The neighbourhood bully is again on the rampage in Lebanon and Gaza
Let’s stop him!
Don’t believe them, when they say that the Lebanon war started because of the capture of two soldiers. They were warned for two years by Nasrallah that if they didn’t return the three Lebanese prisoners who were kidnapped from inside Lebanon, then Hizbullah would seize soldiers.
Don’t believe them, when they claim that they initiated the war in order to remove a threat to residents of the north. They have been planning this dirty war for the past two years, first as the command exercise “Fire Stones”, and then until a month before the war as exercise “Arm-in-arm 1”, which prepared every stage of the war, from the capture of the soldiers – as threatened by Nasrallah – via the bombardment of south Lebanon and south Beirut, up to the entry into shelters of all the population of the north (or at least, those who have shelters).
Don’t believe them, when they talk about a war to re-establish order in Lebanon. The plan was to sow chaos in the state, to cause havoc and destruction, to shed the blood of hundreds and thousands. Their order is that of the world super-bully, US imperialism. Yes, it was all coordinated. The Israeli government would not have set out on this dirty war without a green light from its patron. See Iraq, which was destroyed by the same George Bush, who continues to demand from his agent : “Carry on with your war!” The “order” that imperialism is planning to establish in this region consists of the break-up of the nation states and the creation of ethnic enclaves waging war one against the other. This is the way in which US imperialism and the big financial and industrial companies want to rule, without restraint, over the region and its resources – oil and the entire economy. See the disaster taking place in Iraq: It is a warning of what they are preparing for all of us.
Don’t believe them, when they promise, like Menahem Begin at the start of the first Lebanon war in 1982: “And the land will be quiet for forty years”. There will be no peace on the heaps of ruins and mass slaughter. There will be nothing but hatred, the desire to fight the foreign occupier, who has destroyed and continues to destroy, who has killed and continues to kill. This war will end somehow. But it has already sown the seeds of the next war.
Don’t believe them, when they prattle about “a struggle against terror in the north and the south”. The Lebanese people and the Palestinian people want to live! The Israeli army left the Gaza Strip and turned it into an open-air prison for one-and-a-half million people. They imposed a blockade by land, sea and air. There too, as in Lebanon, they said, "We will put pressure on the people, so that they will put pressure on the leadership". A pressure of destruction and blood. Then came starvation, depletion of medical supplies, and the military invasion. While the Israeli army is carrying out its schemes in Lebanon, hundreds of people are being killed in Gaza. Blind killing. It makes no difference who is a fighter and who is a civilian. They are simply killing. But the sick and tortured Gaza Strip stands firm. The terror that Israel is wreaking against the Palestinian people is intended to lead to the collapse of the whole of Palestinian society and its institutions. The establishment of a “Palestinian state” alongside the state of Israel – in effect Bantustans for the natives under total control from the occupying army – demands first of all the dismantlement of the Palestinian people as an organised entity. The independence planned by US imperialism and its Israeli mercenaries is the independence of collaborators, who will be spat out by their people.
The Israeli “peace camp” is silent in the face of the slaughter and systematic destruction in Lebanon. The leader of Meretz-Yahad, Yossi Beilin, calls for an attack on the Syrian civilian infrastructure. Yossi Beilin is thus inciting for a war across the whole region, just as Uri Avnery did in 1967 when he wrote “Onward to Damascus”. In the final analysis, left-wing Zionism, the "rational peace camp”, reaches a stance of destruction and killing, at the end of which is expulsion of the Palestinian people and the creation of an iron fist for US imperialism in the Middle East.
There is no “Arab solidarity”. The Arab regimes, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf principalities, Jordan, announced via their discreet channels that they support Israel's war in Lebanon and Gaza. They are the faithful servants of imperialist interests in the region.
Mobilisation of the masses can halt the total destruction. Thousands demonstrated in the streets of Umm el-Fahem and Sakhnin. The protest movement of the Arab population will become stronger, and then it could draw to its side the still-hesitant Jewish population. Despite the brainwashing of the electronic and printed media, there is a desire among many to stop this war. The Arab masses can lead the movement of opposition, and can give this desire a growing voice.
Army of occupation, get out, get out of Lebanon and Gaza - now!
Free all the prisoners and detainees!
The unity of the working people will make the peace in the region, will make peace in the world!

Israel is no doubt the strongest arm force around, but it is not "neighbourhood bully" as it do not use it force for fun, it acts out of fear and seek to improve the security.
when you call it "neighbourhood bully" do you suggest that we need to remove Israel from the map?

Seriously, where does anyone living in the arab / muslim world get off lecturing anybody else on brutality.
You reap what you sow, my friend.
The reason 1701 won't work is because Hizb'Allah does not want it to work. Iran and Syria will fight Israel till the very last Lebanese, because they live for Israel's death. Everything else is just excuses.
For the sane people out there who really do want peace, my suggestion is to stop making excuses for your militant death-cult fundumentalists, and start taking hard action towards restraining them or they'll be the death of you all. Even if it will be an Israeli bomb that kills you, it's your societies crazies that put you in danger, and your own recklessness and moral paralysis which allowed them to do so. |

I really don't agree with you. Israel uses its force to oppress the Palestinian People and to implement the US plans in the region. Israel is not interested in quiet. For instance the last provocations of this night in Baalbeck and in Ramallah.
I suggest that we, all the residents of the historical Palestine and all the Palestinian refugees, we need a democratic state where we can live together, with equal rights, in place of the apartheid state of Israel. |

Dear all,
Love is the only solution between Human beings if we want to save this planet.
Governments, religious leaders and people in power are only
interested to make money by selling weapons that we can kill each
other. They don't suffer because they are well guard in their offices surrounded by bodyguards. Their lives are not in danger and their house are not bombarded...
Many Lebanese innocent people had die during this stupid war. They had they houses destroyed and this was the only thing they had. Same for some Palestinian people who are struggle by the Israeli occupation.
Even if I live in Israel and I am an Israeli, I am for Human rights and part of many peaceful associations. We only need peace and
communication for a better world. Religions are the main virus and
cancer against love between Human beings. All wars since the beginning of the world where instigated by religions.
Now that I am Raelian (visit: www.rael.org), my only religion is love, caring and sharing with my brothers and sister of this planet without distinction of sex, race or religion.
Let's make a revolution for love and peace against all government in
this planet.Only love and non violence can save our planet.

I agree with you that we need to trasform our region. I do not think the I should have more "rights" then Palestinians (or jews). I also think the the Zionist paradigm of "Jewish-Democratic state" is dengerous for Israelies and Palestinians.
I suggest that you may missed some of the Israel qualeties when you see it as neighbourhood bully.
Israel "Force" was build up becuse Israel is at war with Arabs. We are at war with a big chunk of the Arab world since we are considered as "not arabs" who took "arab land"... it has some truth in it, but it has some missunderstanding of the dynamics of the emergance of the Israel state. Israel also broght a well developed open society model that can be used in the Arab world and free a lot of Arabs. When the Arabs put so much energy to image israel as regional bully they neglect the opertunities that Israel can bring to them.
Lets be honest, Israel is impressive demonstration of creating a modern state within 100 years. A state that has impressive ecomonic and education grewth, feature that can be valued in any Arab community. The Power of israel do not come from the desire to harm the palestinians, Israeli fill like they are attacted. The strength come from its social structure and this is uniqe model rarely seen in the Arab world.
