Three Israeli Arabs were arrested today in the central-Israel city of Ramleh, for holding signs againt the war and against the Minister of Defense Peretz. r They were also chanting slogans promising Mr. Peretz a trial at the Hague. The police arrested three of the demonstrators. One was released and two others were detained for questioning. The charge for the arrest was "incitment" and "calls for mutiny". Member of the Knesset Dov Khenin (Arab-Jewish Socialist Party HADASH), said: "The Israeli police doesn't seem to grasp the fact that in Israel there is a freedom of protest and expression. Updates will follow.

How unsurprising that the Arabs should get all the shit from the police.
Things like this, and others, lead me to three conclusions: 1. Everything is okay in this country, only as long as you are Jewish. If you're not, you automatically become inferior, an enemy and a potential traitor by institutional and social default. 2. If you are a radical leftist, you align yourself with the non-Jews and therefore deserve being treated as they are. If you acknowledge the humanity of the other side, you are a radical leftist. 3. If you are both non-Jewish and dare to have leftist opinions, you will be treated with even more cruelty than the two above.
Ugh, what a wonderful country we live in -_- |

| So we need to band together, all the non-jews, leftists and others who crave peace. We need to form a community strong enough that social pressure will not stop us from believing what is right. |

I think most of us are up to the social pressure. What we need is to be strong enough to free our fellows from unjust incarceration.

The struggle against war and its social source, capitalism, presupposes direct, active, unequivocal support to the oppressed colonial peoples in their struggles and wars against imperialism. A 'neutral' position is tantamount to support of imperialism.

| they can arrest 3 people, they can kill 300, but I hope they cannot arrest 3000 people nor kill 3 million. the key to every protest in the world is the number, so we have to keep on talking and keep on marching. I don't see any other way, as we do not have any other power. |
